International Incubator Hagenberg
The International Incubator Hagenberg is embedded in Softwarepark Hagenberg, Austria’s leading tech park in IT. Hagenberg is a picturesque village close to Linz, the capital of Upper Austria, with excellent flight, highway and train traffic connections.
Upper Austria is one of Central Europe’s leading industrial regions with the greater area of Linz being the location of a number of headquarters of big international groups covering sectors such as mechatronics, plastics, automotive, pharmacy etc. The strategic development programme of Upper Austria guarantees a strong focus on fostering innovative technology networks of business, education and research, with a particular emphasis on IT.
Linz is not only an attractive location for business and employment (the city offers more working places than it has inhabitants!) but also offers excellent academic education at the Johannes Kepler University Linz with a number of internationally recognised programmes in IT, among other fields. With its closeness to the great recreational area of the Alps, Linz at the Danube offers an inspiring living environment at the heart of Central Europe. Vienna, Salzburg, Munich and Prague are all within a distance of just 200 km / 125 miles. Finally, Linz is also very active in the cultural area (proven e.g. by the internationally recognised Ars Electronic Center) and is European Capital of Culture in 2009.
